Mie Omori (Lovey) Mie was born and raised in Honolulu. She is currently attending high school as a sophmore. She is a talented writer and performer and has been a part of Lois-Ann Yamanaka's creativity classes at Na'au: A Place for Learning for several years. “Fishbowl” is Mie's film debut. Here is Mie in her own words: " I enjoy English and Biology. I'm not as good at Bio as I am English but I still really love both subjects. History is pretty wonderful too. I hope to attend college on the East Coast or somewhere where it snows. In my free time I love to sleep, eat, write, run, read, shop, sing, dance, and of course act. Friends and family would describe me as super-duper fun, clumsy, cheerful, hyper-observant, serious and silly: in a word—sublime….Filming ‘Fishbowl' was one of the coolest things that I ever did. It was my first time acting and hopefully not the last. What I was most thankful for during filming was my family; knowing that they supported me made being in an afro a lot more fun. It was really interesting to play Lovey because we're so different. She's extremely introverted while I find it fun to sometimes make a fool of myself and laugh. I had such an amazing time with the cast and crew. It was unbelievable how in just a week, we got to be friends. Check out Billy's groovy dance moves!"
Billy Lam (Jerry) Billy is a choreographer, dancer, and a sophomore at Kaimuki High School in Honolulu. He plans to relocate to Los Angeles and continue his dance and performance work there. Billy says that he loved working on "Fishbowl" and his favorite scenes were the ones where he got to wear a mustache.
Jordan Mukai (Lori) Jordan is a sophomore and a member of the school's marching band, symphonic band, and bowling team. Second to her love for acting is her love of her alto saxophone, which has been the catalyst for her participation in various musical experiences. Jordan has participated in the Pacific Music Institute, summer 2003. That summer she was awarded third seat out of nine. She is an alumnus of the State Ninth Grade Select Band. She was awarded the esteemed position of second chair during this tenure. She is currently under the instruction of Todd Yukumoto, director of the University of Hawaii Saxophone Choir.
